History of Physics
In our history of physics project, we learned about physicists from throughout time, from Aristotle to Bill Nye. Then we chose a physicist, I chose Archimedes, and we did research on our physicists. We then did a lot of drawing practice, so we could eventually paint them with watercolor. After at least a dozen drafts, we drew our final on water color paper and painted it. Then we wrote a historical fiction story about our physicist and after a peer critique, turned it in.
The physics concepts we learned were mainly about he physicists and what they discovered throughout time. For example, Archimedes discovered the buoyancy principle, or an object, when submerged in water, displaces that much water. If the weight of the water it displaces is more than the weight of the object, it floats. He also discovered many other devices and mathematical discoveries. The main concepts we learned were how our physicist benefited the world.

I was incredibly proud of how my painting turned out, because I didn't think I was that good at drawing. In my opinion, I would say my painting was among the best of the class. I also was very proud of my story, as I felt like I did an amazing job with it. I typically don't enjoy writing but that essay was fairly fun to write about. Overall I really liked this project and thought it was fun. My final painting is below.
Here is the link to my historical fiction story. It was written about Archimedes, the man in the painting above.
